Isophthalonitrile

Isophthalonitrile, is white acicular crystal, slightly soluble in hot water, soluble in hot ethanol, ether, benzene and chloroform. lt is used to prepare plastics, synthetic fibers, pesticides (chlorothalonil) and epoxy resin curing agents. 

Meta-xylylenediamine is prepared by catalytic hydrogenation of lsophthalonitrile. As an aromatic amine, meta-xvlylenediamine is widely used in the chemical industry. The m-xylene-a,a'-diamine is mainly used as a epoxy curing agent and as a fine chemical raw material.

Isophthalonitrile is a corrosive substances, strongly stimulate the skin and mucosa, can cause sensitization effect.
